The San Juan Islands Farmers' Market began in the early 1980s in the parking lot of the American Legion. Like many Farmers' Markets across the country, it began with a few farmers selling produce from the back of their trucks.
Today there are more than 40 vendors from the San Juan Islands, music and activities for children. It's an important part of our local economy and community.
It moved to the Courthouse parking lot in 1996, with the support of San Juan County.
